Reach India operates in more than 5 countries that encompass 1 major world regions. In each location, we are laboring to start church planting movements by mobilizing believers, sharing the gospel, equipping local leadership, and multiplying disciples and healthy churches. See where we work below A
Give to This Region
In South Asia, the people are turning to the only gods they know. Their lives are deeply rooted in ancient ancestral religions such as Hinduism, Islam, Cultism, and Buddhism. The remoteness of many of the people groups results in limited opportunities to hear the gospel.
Though this region is filled with people who have never heard the name of Jesus, the few believers who call South Asia home are determined to go to every corner of their nations with the good news.
Reach Indi recognizes that an insider-led and national-led initiative results in a more rapidly spreading church planting movement. With this is mind, we focus on training insider/nationals and equipping them with the tools to share the gospel in the most remote areas. Short-term trips, the JESUS Film, Medical care, a powerful Audio Drama Bible tool and committed nationals have ignited a chain of grassroots church planting movements throughout South Asia.
Facing Daily Danger
As faithful servants of Christ, we are called to proclaim the truth of the gospel in all circumstances. But in some places, those circumstances are a matter of life and death.
For Ravinder—the pastor of a new church in Andhra Pradesh—this danger is a daily reality.
After his conversion, Ravinder was trained to go and make disciples as the leader of a church in his village. Some in his village heard the truth and received Christ, but many others rejected Ravinder’s new faith, even banding together to persecute him and his family.
First, they went for Ravinder’s crops—his primary source of provision for food and finances. When he tried to stop one Group of people from tearing them up the ground, Ravinder was warned to “shut his loud mouth” to avoid further consequences.
But Ravinder couldn’t stop speaking about the Lord.
In response, Ravinder’s neighbors went from attacking his possessions to physically beating him and his family. Head wounds warranted a rush to the Government hospital where Ravinder was denied treatment because of his allegiance to Christ. Hours later, other believers in the area championed his cause and Jakaraya was reluctantly admitted for care.
Today Jakaraya and his family are on the mend from these brutal attacks, but have relocated to a new community with the help of their Andhra Pradesh brothers and sisters.

FIND A SHORT-TERM MISSION TEAM
Christian mission’s organizations each have different areas of focus. Some are centered on humanitarian aid, such as delivering food to the hungry or providing medical care. Others mainly focus on taking the gospel to the lost and the broken. Of this second group, a handful, like Reach India, place emphasis on taking the gospel to unreached people groups.
For those living in a country where Christianity is a norm, the term may be unfamiliar. But understanding unreached people groups is key to Christian missions and for ultimately fulfilling the Great Commission. So what are unreached people groups, and why are they important to missions?
Defining Unreached
In the India, a person would not have to travel far to find a church, a bookstore with a Bible, or a person who can explain the basics of the gospel. That is not the case in other areas of the world.
In some places, there are entire populations of people who have never seen a church, a Bible, or even heard the name of Jesus. These are unreached people groups.
An unreached people group, or UPG, is a society among which there is no established local community of believers. This small to nonexistent Church often also lacks the resources to evangelize their people group.
According to the Joshua Project, a people group is considered unreached based on the following criteria:
1. Less than 2% Evangelical Christian
2. Less than 5% Christian adherent (one who claims any form of the Christian religion)
Of the approximately 8 billion people on planet Earth, about 3.2 billion are considered unreached or least reached. More than 7,000 people groups are classified as unreached. That’s more than 40% of the world’s population.
Within the more than 7,000 UPGs, 3,050 are considered unengaged unreached people groups. An unengaged unreached people group, or UUPG, is a people group with “no known active church planting underway.” UUPGs have likely never been reached by a believer.
Though people have responded to the Great Commission by taking the gospel to those who did not know Jesus since the first century A.D., the focus of reaching UPGs is fairly recent in mission history. Reaching unreached people groups was popularized after the founding of the U.S. Center for World Mission in 1976. Ralph and Roberta Winter, founders of the U.S. Center for World Mission (now Frontier Ventures), advocated for a focus on unreached people groups in missions, leading some missionaries and entire missions agencies to concentrate on UPGs.
The Biblical Focus of Unreached
Reaching the unreached is not just a mission’s strategy identified in the 1970s; it is biblical.
God desires for anybody—whether Jew or Gentile, rich or poor, young or old—to call upon His name. That is why in the Great Commission, Jesus commands His followers to “make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).” Jesus yearns for all nations to know and proclaim His name.
Many define the word “nation” as an area or country with a formalized government and boundaries. But in Matthew 28, “nations” was translated from the word ethane, which is commonly understood to mean people groups or ethnic groups. When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He was not only commanding that the gospel be preached in every country but to every people group in the world.
Where are the Unreached?
Of the 3.2 billion people who are considered unreached, the vast majority (3.1 billion) reside in the 10/40 Window, aptly named for its location between 10- and 40-degrees north latitude, stretching across northern and Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and southern Asia. The world’s largest UPGs live within this window.
The term 10/40 Window was coined by Luis Bush, CEO of Partners International, as he was looking for a way to describe “an area of the world with great poverty and low quality of life, combined with a lack of access to Christian resources and unreached unbelievers.”
The 10/40 Window consists of many developing nations and the majority of the world’s followers of Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
Of the 3.2 billion people who are considered unreached, the vast majority (3.1 billion) reside in the 10/40 Window.
The remainder of the world’s unreached are dispersed across the globe, many because of something called Diaspora. Diaspora is the dispersion of any people from their original homeland. Millions of people around the world are fleeing their native countries for countless reasons, such as disease, persecution, and war, taking them to countries not known for UPGs.
For instance, UPGs are coming to the U.S. and North America in general looking for work, an education, or refuge from war torn nations. The largest UPGs in North America come from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
“We will only advance our evangelistic work as fast and as far as we advance on our knees.” -Alan Red path
Having billions of people in the world who have never heard the name of Jesus is a God-sized problem that requires the hands of a God-sized Redeemer. Believers should pray for the unreached because God desires all peoples to be saved and because missions cannot happen without intercessory prayer.
Prayer is how hearts are changed—especially that of the one praying. So take some time to join in God’s work through praying for the unreached.
Knowing how to pray for the unreached can be a daunting task. You can narrow the focus by praying for specific UPGs or countries. Then, pray for those who do not yet know Jesus, missionaries, the global Church, and church leaders.
The status of UPGs worldwide will remain unchanged unless they are reached with the gospel. Join in God’s mission to reached the unreached by learning more about them, praying for them, and then going to share the gospel with them.
Believers should pray for the unreached because God desires all peoples to be saved and because missions cannot happen without intercessory prayer.
In 2013, Lakunaik Daravath saw in his village people were suffering from seasonal disease like Malaria, Dengue, cough, cold in the Suryanaik Thanda medical facilities were terrible so Lakunaik was brought a doctor in to the village treat them. He was providing free medical relief to the needy people who cannot afford expensive medical costs because he “’Love the Lord his G0D with all his heart and ‘love his neighbour as himself’. During this medical comp God spoke to Lakunaik that he has people who have no one to treat them. Providing medical relief and succour to people suffering from AIDS and other incurable diseases, along with counselling and protection of affected families.
On July 14, 2014, The First AID Centres started in Suryanaik Thanda and V.K Pahad was dedicated to the Lord and was opened to the public. Since then, the First AID Centres has opened clinics and conducts rural health care camps throughout the areas. It has truly become a blessing to many.
Reach India has’” Love the Lord your G0D with all your heart and “love your neighbour as yourself’. To make God known among every nation, every tribe, every tongue, and every people. From June 2, 2023. India is now the world's most populous nation with 1.486 billion people, passing China in April according to projections by the United Nations. And it’s still growing.
In 2023 approx. 3.22 crores or 32 million people are Christians in India. There are 97.70% percentage people living in spiritual darkness without access to the gospel message, and we are desperate to reach them with the radical message of Love God and love neighbour. Medical Outreach is one strategy we are using to accomplish this task.
In spiritually dark areas of the India, there’s a growing need for creative ways to begin and strengthen church planting movements among the unreached and unengaged. Matthew 9:35 describes how Jesus creatively accessed people by combining healing with preaching.
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.”
To create a similar medical outreach strategy, Reach India want to Partnership with a like-minded organization who has a set of unique, proven, and empowering medical training modules.
We use these training modules to equip our local evangelists and church planters in basic medical care and give their house churches the necessary equipment to carry out this medical ministry. As house churches serve their communities using basic medicine, they gain access to the lost, are agents of love and mercy, and ultimately disciple new believers, who begin gathering in new church plants. Medical access is especially beneficial for us to engage in areas that are historically hostile to the good news of Jesus Christ.
A gift of $15,00 will provide the basic medical training, and medicine for comps needed to equip a local believer in India for Medical Outreach is one strategy we are using to accomplish this task. Christ with families that have never heard of Jesus and establish churches for lasting impact!

In the beginning 2013's a terrible flood hit the Telangana area of Andhra Pradesh. People were suffering without food, drinking water, we understood that we must help our fellowman during their time of loss. From that time the Reach India Group of Ministries has endeavoured to help people who have fallen victim to natural calamities and catastrophes. Since then whether fire, floods, cyclone or tsunami, our relief teams has brought food and shelter to the displaced and hungry, our rehabilitation teams have brought supplies, capital and equipment for people to resume their livelihood and restart their businesses. To help people to help themselves.
In 1998 Lakunaik started with an Evangelist, since then the Lord has blessed abundantly. As of today 1500, House Churches have been established. What began with only a handful of people grew to a total membership of over 12000 people. Praise the name of the Lord! Many of the churches have between 4-8 people, a few are in the 2-5 range, few are in the 2--3 range and one has over 150 attending regularly.
In 2007, God spoke to Lakunaik to work with East-West in the city of Suryapet, of the state of Telangana. Here a new centre was to be established that would train men and women to reach out to all states of India. Today Reach India has churches in 8 states of India and 1 union territories of India.
The Lord spoke to Lakunaik the leadership of the ministry again in 2010, and what was thought to be only a vision for Suryapet. Exists to mobilize the Body of Christ to evangelize the lost and equip local believers to multiply disciples and healthy churches among the unreached people and/or in restricted access communities.then the Lord would bless within its borders. Since then, affiliates have come up in the South India.
A gift of $25,00 will provide the training, Honorarium, and materials needed to equip a local believer in India for a lifetime of ministry. Through your support, a Church Planter will share the good news of Jesus Christ with families that have never heard of Jesus and establish churches for lasting impact!
